Our Frequently
Asked Questions
-
What personal data is kept by Sead on its servers ?
What sensitive data is stored on our servers ?
Sead does not store your seed phrase and does not store your QR codes.
Sead stores login credentials information : email and encrypted hashed passwords.
-
What happens to my data if Sead is hacked ?
Sead takes security very seriously and implements all expected professional state-of-the art measures to secure its IT infrastructure. However what would happen theoritically if a hack were still succesfully conducted on our servers ?
Sead does not store any of your seed phrases nor QR codes. Therefore the only theoritical possible damage of a Sead's server hack would be a leak of a list of emails (used as logins) which are not linked to any other information. The passwords are hashed so that would not not allow a hacker to use any of it, and in addition 2FA authentication is mandatory to use Sead's features.
For anything else than login emails, Sead does not store online any information the user has placed in his "Sead Safe" (cold storage). This information remains out of hacker's reach, offline (like your QR codes are).
-
Will Sead tool still work with quantum computing ?
Yes. Sead tool is regularly updated accordingly. We follow on that question the US NIST formal recommendations and standards to ensure we remain quantum safe.

In addition this would be a serious breach of our legal copyrights and terms of use.

Were the QR codes encrypted?
Yes: There’s no immediate emergency, but it’s still advisable to move your crypto to a new account and generate new QR codes for added security.
No: You should move your crypto to a new account right away and create new QR codes to prevent unauthorized access.
-
Does Sead uses or has its own blockchain ?
No. Sead does not—and will not—develop its own blockchain. If a blockchain is required for certain Sead features, we utilize one of the established top 10 chains (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, XRP, etc.). We also avoid any blockchains that have proven to be insecure or unstable (such as Solana) or smaller chains that cannot guarantee long-term viability.
-
Does Sead keep my crypto assets or a copy of my seed phrase or QR codes?
No. Sead does not store any personal or sensitive user data—this includes your seed phrase, QR codes, or crypto assets. By design, Sead ensures that only you retain full self-custody of your information. The system is architected such that no one other than you can ever access your sensitive data.
-
If Sead disappears from the market, do I loose my QR codes backup and seed phrase?
No. You retain full access to your Sead Tool and can continue backing up and restoring your seed phrases. Your Sead Directives also remain operational because they are programmed on-chain in a decentralized manner. This is the key benefit of Sead’s fully self-custodial, decentralized design—your sensitive data and directives remain accessible and secure, regardless of Sead’s market presence.
