What is Sead Directives ?
Sead Directives is a trustless, easy-to-use solution that lets you create and schedule “directives” or instructions—ranging from simple messages to full-fledged asset transfers (including inheritance planning)—to be executed when specific conditions occur. Here’s how it works:
-
Customizable Instructions
- You define the instructions in any format you choose: a text file, video, or any other document.
- You also set the exact conditions under which those instructions are carried out.
-
Trusted People
- If your directives involve other individuals (e.g., a spouse, children, or friends), you list them under your “Sead Trusted People.”
- These people will only receive the information or assets you specify when the conditions you’ve set are met.
-
Real-World Scenarios
- As an example, you could arrange for your spouse to automatically receive your QR codes—together with a personal video message—should you pass away in a car accident.
- In broader terms, Sead Directives can handle everything from inheritance planning to sharing critical information before any important future events.
In short, Sead Directives empowers you to plan and automate the secure transfer of assets and information, on your own terms and without relying on any central authority.

What can I store in Sead Directives?
You may store any document (restricted to the supported file formats such as PDF, etc and within the maximum allocated storage space). The content you store in Sead Directives is not interpreted nor read nor known by Sead. -
What about my data if I die?
Sead understands the importance of planning ahead. Our "Sead Directives" feature lets you set precise instructions for what should happen to your data under specific conditions, including your passing. This means you can predefine the inheritance of your seed phrases or any other future scenarios, not only tied to inheritance but also triggered by time-based conditions or other events. You’re fully in control, ensuring your digital legacy is handled exactly the way you intend.
-
How can trusted persons read and recover my private key if I haven't given them the software?
These trusted persons that you defined in your "My ecosystem" dashboard will contact Sead indicating they are supposed to be a trusted person that was configured by the account owner. Based on the identification data that was also configured by the owner, Sead will verify that this person is who he/she supposed to be and that instructions were left for them. Sead will never provide its Sead tool to anyone else.
-
How can my family recover my seed phrase with Sead?
If something happens to me and the distributed QR codes have been encrypted by me, how can my family recover my seed phrase with Sead?
Sead provides a storage and legacy tool, called "Sead Directive" to plan actions in such cases.
